Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the Role

Opus ABA is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism in their homes across the Aberdeen, South Dakota area. As an RBT, you'll work directly with amazing kids, helping them build skills, gain confidence, and reach milestones their families have been hoping for.

You'll be mentored by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who knows your name — not just your caseload number. At Opus, we invest in our team because we know that when our RBTs feel supported, our kids get better care.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy sessions in clients' homes
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the supervising BCBA
• Collect and record accurate data during sessions
• Practice positive reinforcement strategies and evidence-based techniques
• Build meaningful relationships with children and their families
• Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing supervision
• Communicate regularly with your BCBA about progress and observations
• Help children develop communication, social, academic, and daily living skills

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Passion for working with children, especially those with special needs
• Reliable transportation for in-home service delivery
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Dependable, patient, and willing to learn
• Available for a consistent weekly schedule (minimum 20 hours/week)

Preferred (But Not Required)

• Current RBT certification
• Experience working with children (childcare, tutoring, teaching, camp, etc.)
• Coursework in psychology, education, or a related field
• CPR/First Aid certification
